Meet our Team!
Our Hardworking team aim to make every customer happy. We’d like to introduce Sally Eades our Restaurant Manager at The High Bridge Café on Lincoln’s high street.
She has been a member of the Stokes’ team for 30 years. She loves working for such a long-standing family business & managing our busy flagship café, where even her nan was a regular customer. The High Bridge Café building dates back to the 1540s & Sally loves the cosiness & unique history of the place. Going the extra mile for every one of our customers is something Sally & her team pride themselves on.
She said: “Every day may be different, but the team & I continually aim to provide the best service & most delicious food & drink to every customer, every time.”

Eco-friendly Coffee
It’s shocking to discover that around 52 million tonnes of waste go into UK landfill sites every year.
Here at Stokes Tea & Coffee we are always finding ways to help reduce waste & minimise environmental impacts. That’s why we introduced our Zero Bucket scheme - supplying wholesale coffee to customers in buckets instead of bags & boxes. So far, the scheme has eliminated over 2000 boxes by delivering coffee & tea to our customers in reusable buckets which can be used repeatedly, & they still keep products perfectly fresh & in peak condition.
The Zero Waste Bucket Scheme is just one on a long list of things we’re doing to help – here’s a few more:
- Using local produce & helping to cut down on food miles
- Investing in recyclable packaging
- Supporting the free top-up refill water scheme
- Planting trees in the UK & overseas
- Using upcycled materials to refurbish our premises
- Reducing emissions with our eco-friendly coffee roaster to help cut the use of natural gas & reduce CO2 emissions
- Repurposing coffee grounds, coffee sacks & reducing food waste

The amazing team at PWSA UK work with families, friends & others who support or work with people with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), to help them manage this complex syndrome.
What is Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS)? - It is a rare, complex genetic disorder that affects both males & females from birth & throughout their lives. It causes low muscle tone with consequent motor developmental delays, a mild to moderate learning difficulty & emotional & social immaturity, which can lead to challenging behaviours. During childhood, an overwhelming & insatiable chronic appetite usually develops which, without rigorous food management & exercise regimes, leads to food seeking, stealing & life-threatening obesity.
Why have we chosen PWSA UK? - Our colleague, Ruth Perry, has personal experience of the effects of living with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Ruth’s daughter, Lilou, was born with PWS in 2013. This loving, beautiful, bright 7-year-old has huge challenges to face every day including mobility, dietary & behavioural issues as well as excessive tiredness due to poor muscle tone.
