This lot was produced by Great Rift coffee, a vertically integrated company based in Nandi Hills in Western Kenya. Established in 2019, the company has expanded to cultivate around 300 acres of land, and currently works with upwards of 250 farmers local to the region. They focus on sustainable farming practices, with shade grown coffee trees planted amongst a natural spread of indigenous trees and bushes.
This particular coffee is absolutely loaded with full bodied sweetness. The brightness and acidity so common in Kenyan coffees comes through as a zingy green apple note, while rich flavours of dried fruits and caramel round everything out.
