BSA Barista Skills Level 1 Course

Learn the sound basics of being a great Barista, from health & safety to creating a menu of delicious drinks. You'll learn all about the journey of the coffee bean - where it comes from, how it's blended, roasted, packed & distributed. You'll be given practical tasks to help you learn about coffee-making equipment, how to keep them clean & maintained. Then you'll get to practice your skills by using the coffee machine & creating a menu of drinks. There'll also be an introduction to tea, covering the different types, where they come from & how to brew them. This will be followed by information about cocoa & the processes it goes through to make hot chocolate.

You'll learn the basic skills to become a Barista, or boost your existing knowledge. The course is delivered by our Accredited City & Guilds Trainer. All attendees will be assessed through a knowledge test of 15 questions & receive a BSA Certificate of Accreditation on successful completion.
