This tea delights the most discerning tea enthusiasts. Known as the ‘Champagne Oolong’ it is the ‘best of the best’ originating from Taiwan. Oriental Beauty is a white-tipped, open leafed, highly oxidised oolong tea – elegance and quality in a cup.
Oriental Beauty is a white-tipped, open leafed, highly oxidised oolong tea. In the first half of June tropical insects called Jacobiasca Formosana (Jassid) flourish on the sap of the tea bush. The Jassids suck the phloem sap from the leaves and stems, this forces the tea bush to generate compounds in order to defend itself. The compounds ensure orchid-like taste whilst the removal of the sap really pushes through the flavours within the tea leaf.
