Charity of the Year

Stokes is committed to making a positive impact on society, our community, and the environment. We have a number of ongoing community partners and links, but each year, we focus our support on one main charity to maximise the difference we can make. For 2025, we are honoured to partner with Ovarian Cancer Action, a community of change makers with one purpose: to give ovarian cancer the focus it needs to increase 10-year survival rates. They know research is the solution.

Ovarian Cancer Action lives and breathes this lifesaving, world-leading research. They fund more ovarian cancer research than any other UK gynaecological cancer charity. It’s how they’ve driven some of the biggest breakthroughs of the last 19 years.

This is the only charity at the heart of the global ovarian cancer research community and has been for four decades.

The charity works hard to connect the world's leading scientists, creating a powerful hub of experience, expertise and insight. This enables them to confidently fund research that takes them a step closer to their goal: that by 2032 half of women will live more than 10 years after diagnosis.

Through weekly contributions from our dance classes led by our MD to donations generously given by our customers online and on-site at our cafes, we actively contribute funds to fuel Ovarian Cancer Action’s vital work.

To help us maintain our commitment and focus, we kindly ask that unsolicited charity requests are not sent. We receive a high volume of requests and are unable to respond to general enquiries via email. However, if you are a loyal customer with a specific recommendation for our Charity of the Year, please feel free to submit your suggestion through the designated link once we've started our search for our 2026 charity. Our 2026 charity selection will be announced in March 2026.
