Who is the biggest producer of coffee in Africa?

Ethiopia produces the largest amount of coffee in Africa. They produce 3% of the worlds coffee bean supply.

Is Africa the birthplace of Coffee?

It’s thought that an Ethiopian goat herder (Kaldi) discovered coffee. Kaldi noticed his goats acting unusually after eating the red cherries of a particular bush, these turned out to be coffee cherries.

What kind of coffee comes from Africa?

A lot of the coffee from Africa tends to taste fruity, this is because many of the coffees are dry processed. The dry process infuses the beans with flavours from the cherry.
